RTW - Resolution?
Hi. I want to play RTW Extended Realism on a 1920x1200 resolution which is my monitor's native.
How do I do this as there options in game dont exceed 1280x****. I tried changing the strategy_resolution in the preferences folder and changed widescreen to true, but this doesn't do anything. Infact.. I can completely remove the preferences.txt and it doesn't affect my game.
I remember about a year ago I was able to change the resolution via a windows application program what it was. I'm currently running Windows 7 pro.

Re: RTW - Resolution?
Silly question. When I play using a widescreen resolution and with widescreen checked as true, a lot of the dialog graphics and background screens with progress bars appear stretched wide.
Is this normal or have I set a video option incorrectly?

Re: RTW - Resolution?
That, I'm afraid, is normal. RTW seems not to have been designed to cope properly with wide screen technology.

Re: RTW - Resolution?
You have the movies activated, which is why you see the red moving images as a backdrop to your menus. That painting, by our talented artist Selukosart, can be seen as an alternative background if you use the -nm (no movies) switch in the Target Line of the Launcher or Icon.
