CTD at load screen 1.02

Please Help, I a problem with 1.02. 1.01 worked great, and I thought the problem with 1.02 was the mod I had removing the campaign script to work around crash. I reinstalled the game and it still does not work. I will try a third install without the translation files and see if that is the problem. Also, when using the installer for 1.02 I click on the english version. Does this matter on the install?

The problem is a CTD when starting the game, I double click the icon and get CTD at load screen.

1. Delete your teutonic folder.

2. Reinstall version 1.01, sound patch, and translation in that order.

3. Download the 1.01 > 1.02 patch here

4. Download the hotfix

5. Download the translation for 1.02

If you follow these directions exactly, it will work without crashes

I've been trying to get this mod working for about 3 days now with no luck and around a dozen reinstalls. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. Here is what i have been doing

1) renamed the teutonic folder and created a new blank folder called Teutonic
2) installed the 1.01 version of the mod kindly provided by The Holy Pilgrim
3) installed the 1.01 sound setup provided
4) installed the 1.01 language translation
5) installed the 1.02 patch
6) installed the 1.02 hotfix
7) installed the 1.02 english translation

every time i try to install the mod the same thing happens, it loads up with the call to warhammer splash screen, then as it should go to the Golden Audio splash screen it just CTD without any error. i'm pulling my hair out as i have no idea what i've done wrong. I have the steam version of both medieval and kingdoms.

any advice that could be offered i greatly appreciate.

I have exactly the same problem as Thy_raven, already did the reinstall in the proper order. It took me a lot of time and gave a lot of frustration. Would be glad for any assistance, cause I love this mod.

Sorry I know this is a month old but after some searching I couldn't find a solution to this problem here. I followed the installation instructions in the thread with the links and I also get the CTD right after the first loading screen. This is caused by the export_descr_unit.txt (I don't know what it's for, is this so that selecting the units doesn't sound like M2TW units?) file that comes with the sound patch. I don't know what's wrong with it but using the 1.02 file the game runs ok.
