    Default Windows 7 Compatibility

Hi, I just upgraded my operating system to Windows 7 and was wondering whether the mod is compatible.

I will say tthat, while I had to reinstall everything pretty much on my computer, Windows 7 has been compatible with all of my XP games. I would expect MTWII to be no exception...however, the mod might be.

If it is compatible, I would also expect that I would now use the Vista bat file for start up.

    Please advise.

The mod was running great by the way on XP and I played several games with it. This is still, by far, the best mod out there.

OK, that was about as clear as mud to me. Where is "user control" and how do I push the slider to one end in the "help box." Keep in mind, I am pretty new to Windows 7.

    Thanks.

    1. Open the "Computer" shortcut on your desktop

    2. You'll see a little blue ? mark button in the top right corner of the screen. Click it.

    3. A dialog box will come up. Type "Disable User Control" in the search box up at the top. Press Enter once typed.

    4. Click on "2. How do I change the behavior of User Account Control by using the slider?"

    5. Follow the instructions at the bottom of the page. Once you do that, you can play the mod (you may want to reinstall it though)

Got it. Had to reinstall pretty much everything with Windows 7, so that won't be a problem.

    Thanks for the tip!

What is user control anyway? Will I need it for other applications?

It's mainly so the administrator can monitor a client's actions. If your computer is for you at home, then it's best just to turn it off.

Do I use the Vista bat file to start the game? Or the XP one?
