    Default Guilds

    hey guys. im currently playing a campaign as the Crusader States (Newest RR\RC) and the only guilds im offered is the Hospitaller guild, and never the Templar guild wich is the one i want right now, is there any reason for this or is it just random?

    Take a look in descr_guilds.txt, in \Medieval II\mods\Stainless_Steel_6\data
    All the triggers for guilds are in it, just scroll through (or use Ctrl + F and search for Templar) and you'll see the triggers one by one.

    In vanilla SS it was like this:
    You gain points for both guilds by joining crusades, but also for recruiting their troops. Your standing with the Hospitalers will also increase when you have chivalrous governors, I believe. But I'm not sure how things are in RR/RC, I haven't played as catholics yet.

    Hospitallers: 15% health (headquarter), 2 more defence (units), 1 free-upkeep (headquarter)
    Templars: Trade (headquarter), 2 more attack and may charge without order (units), 1 free-upkeep (headquarter)

    Yes I know many people prefer Hospitallers above Templars (I'm among them) but he has to choose himself. As long as he makes the right choice

    Ya...**cough, what dude sandwhiched between my posts said... **cough*8 {and....NO. You get +1 free upkeep slot starting at the regular chapter....} at least inSS6.2

    Well now your two posts are sandwiched between my 3! :

    The Templars grant a +1 trade bonus, increasing as the building increases
    Hospitallers same for health.

    You forgot the Dismounted Hospitallers.
    but for Norway i'd prefer Templars, since they have enough heavy infantry and no special cav.

    In 6.2, as well as in RR/RC, both houses provide knights and dismounted knights, they only have slightly different stats.

    Thanks for the replies..yeah the hospitaller knights and guild is better, but i got like 5-6 of them now, so i want to have at least 1 templar guild too ..haha nice signature SoulBlade!, i am from norway and listen to black metal so i can agree with that xD

    Once you choose one, that is all you'll get. So because you have 5 or 6 Hospitaller guilds, you wont get any Templar offers.

    Hi.
    I am not sure about newest RR/RC but in stainless steel 6.1 You can have both guilds, all you need to do is edit export_descr_guilds and delete the lines "exclude templar chapterhouse" and "exclude hospitaller chapterhouse". However I am not sure if you won't have to restart the campaign.

    You won't have to restart your campaign as you don't change files in the world folder, nor remove something that will cause a crash when you load your campaign.
