Still geting CTD on RTRPE1.9 despite CTDfix - please help me troubleshoot

So I'm in the 100s BC playing as Rome. I have Rome Total War: Gold from Steam. I installed RTRPE1.9. No other mods are installed. I did patch with CTDfix (the non-modular one).

As my empire moved into Anatolia and Gaul, crashes got worse. But if I restarted the crashes would not reproduce. However, now I am at a point where it does crash consistently when it gets to the AI. I can't get past this turn.

There are no error messages except the one in Vista 64 that just says the program stopped working.

I do note that I am having huge rebellion problems. I was hoping that the CTDfix would help but it doesn't.

Is there anyway I can troubleshoot or fix this problem? I really like this mod and have a lot of time invested in my campaign. Let me know if you need more information. I've attached my save file. TIA.

Are you sure your RTRPE and the ctd fix are both the non mod switch version?

Yep, you got the correct match. I haven`t tried your saved game. I don`t have rtrpe installed. Frankly if the game crashes during the AI turn and you already have the revolt ctd fix in place your only hope is to try a few things like:
1. deleting the map.rwm again.
2. do something like this:

Thanks for the efforts. It looks like the hotplayer script is for win32 only. I have Vista64.

I have tried reinstalling the game and moving over old save game. Would that have the same effect as deleting map.rwm? Where is map.rwm kept? I've also run the campaign_map_reset script.

It looks like it can't find UI\generic\eventpics and is crashing...

Not sure how to correct this though.

I face the same problems. I think that its not just the Carthiginian rebelions that crash but a lot of rebellions that I faced ( especially Selecuid ) .
I have found a possible solution . disable_ai for this turn , Sometimes it works.

Where do you put disable_ai?

OK so disable_ai goes into console. I never figured out how to do that but ONE of the following things fixed my problems: disabling following ai movment; disable manage all settlements, reset advisor...

Nevermind... it gave me one more turn then was up to no good again. Even tried disable_ai.

you have to see which settlement revolts. follow Ai movements and see in what turn it crashes.. then use a cheat if needed to change who owns that settlement.

That's pretty hard isn't it? I have to guess which of many settlements the AI has will revolt with fog of war?
