    Default BUG: Auto Ceasefire

    Hey all,

first of all I love this mod, great work guys. But i'm experiencing a Bug, i'm playing as the romans and all seemed to go well the first turns, but when i was finally recovering from phyrros and started laying siege to towns that belonged to me before I get a ceasefire everytime in the middle of the siege.

It seems to me it is related to the epirotes making an alliance with one of my allies which breaks as soon as i lay siege to them again.

For the info, i'm runing FOE with the 1.3 patch on windows 7.

there is also a minor other thing, the script with the opening moves did not fully execute with me all the time, just to be sure that it ran correctly last time, it consists of the attack of Phyrros on Rome and after that there is only one minor skirmish in Sicilly right?

    thanks

I think that's how the RTW engine works in general. There's probably an Epirote or allied diplomat just sitting there renewing the alliance everytime your war disrupts it. Send an assassin after them, or get rid of your alliances, if you're so desperate to have the war now.

Yes, this is a vanilla RTW "feature". If you and your enemy are allied to the same third party and that third party decide to make peace with your enemy, then you will be included in that peace. It's a darned nuisance but, as it is hard coded, there is nothing that can be done about it.

Just make the diplomat an offer he can't refuse - problem solved!
