Default Adding a weapon to an existing unit?

    Hi all

i have created a unit that uses a sword as primary weapon, but i wish to change this and use a pistol as the primary weapon and then the sword as melee weapon?

Can anyone help me on which entries i need to use/change in units_stat_land and i understand that i may have to create a new file warscape_equipment_table?

Please keep this as a "noob" type response as i have never done this type of adjustments before!!

Right well first things first, you will need to use the personality officer animation, otherwise you get masses of crashes and bugs...

second of all open warscape equipment themes

create a new row in your own table and call it whatever you want, say "x_pistol_sword"

in column primary weapon put "pistol" and in secondary your other chosen weapon, search thorugh the vannilla table until you find one you like the sound of...

You can then choose flagpoles and instruments backpacks etc...

Now go back to your unit_stats and change the warscape equipment theme, to whatever you called your entry.

    Now you should be done...

Shoot coward! You are only going to kill a man!

Thanks mate, do i not need to add the entries of "pistol" in the "Unknown" column next to Gun ID Ref, and do i add "pistol" to Projectile ID Ref?? i would assume i need to add ammo and accuracy as well??

Yes all of what you said is needed otherwise he will simply carry the pistol but never use it...

change it to "personality_officer" the unit will now march with swords out and when they fire will pull out the pistols in the same way the officer does

I dont think there is a way around it, you can make them stop it by having the unit move immediatley after firing, that way they dont do any anims at all but still reload, other than that we need a new anim...

    Fancy uploading the changes needed?

Love to get the Gents campaign model into the game for the Monarch Toffs to spawn for guard duty as well as some armed citizens.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

Mind you might need to replace the sword with a +10 Vorpal Hankie j/k

Army of rakes could be kind of cool for the US, Sort of US Raiders.
