Did you notice that above, all soldiers are not all the same, some have sackkles, single or double cross, full red uniform or not?

nice, but there seem to be few battles i also want to fight jena, auerstedt, ulm etc. it also seems like there will be less sieges since the second building field contains a barrack, however the morale indicator is very nice and the units really look different nice work ca

What's the button to the left of the withdraw button?
And I wish you could destroy bridges, but I'm guessing you can't. More control over chokepoints = better.

I think these pics have been made in a chronicle order. We can see an italian army marching to nice (which is not being defended by regular troops), so I think the sreens from the battle after the campaign map screenshots are from the battle for nice (the enemy fights against italy) so they're probarly a kind of militia.

Yeah, 80 men militia units against a Piamontese army. I must say I´m not impressed at all about what must be the town of Nice. No improvement over unfortified ETW cities.

Read a napoleonic first hand account of a Hessian serving under the french flag

Athenians: For ourselves, we shall not trouble you with specious pretenses - either of how we have a right to our empire because we overthrew the Mede, or are now attacking you because of wrong that you have done us- and make a long speech which would not be believed;.......... since you know as well as we do that right, as the world goes, is only in question between equals in power, while the strong do what they can and the weak suffer what they must.

I'd be impossible to depict cities such as Paris, Nice, Vienna, Berlin etc, in a way that would do justice to those cities - and more so, it would be a waste of time that could be spent on other parts of the game.

Do as me, I just pretend that those tiny little villages are actually just that, tiny villages on the outskirts of the real cities.

I assumed that they were, as you can see huge cities in the background of battles in ETW!

True. It's meant to be that way.

Actually seems like the best way for both the fighting parts to fight in the outskirts making the city itself take little or no damage = Good for the ones taking it for their own use and good for the ones already living there.

And once defeated your enemy in that village the whole city is damaged on the campaign map...

In ETW that was exactly what they were. You could usually see a huge city in the background.

Maybe they are militia like some people say. But In general I think sometimes soldiers lost some of their kit during battle, march etc. and often couldn't get a new one immidiently. I doubt that ALL soldiers were fully equiped all the time. : )

    sorry for bad english.

ok ..Tiberius Tosi just wrote what I mean XD but didnt see his comment until now lol

If they are militia why are they wearing packs?

And besides Militia were uniformed properly at the time, excluding some units mainly Russian, the English militia for example had the same training as the Line, they were just not combat experienced...
