    Default 4tpy and campaign script

    I got a question.

Whenever i start a campaign i get the advisor pop up telling me to activate the script.
But the show me how button is always grey.
I do get 4 turns per year. Is everything fine, or do i need to reinstall?

It should be a clean RTW/Bi install. But i can't find out the bi patch version and when i try to apply the 1.6 patch it says Bi.exe not found, already up to date? I bought Bi 3 days ago in a white label box.

Hmmm...I wonder if we should edit that. You actually don't need to manually activate the script anymore in most cases. HoH updated it for us.

Just to be on the safe side, whenever you start/load a game, click on a city, wait a second to make sure the advisor pops up, and then click on the advisor's portrait if it doesn't automatically disappear. That'll ensure it starts properly.

I can confirm that the adviser script trick is still necessary when loading saved games. I just had to trash the last three turns I played. A real bummer when you have over 60 provinces and 6 wars going on.

The way I understand the script trick to work is, once you have the a city page open, click on the "?" in the upper left hand corner. This should cause the "show me" button below the adviser's portrait to turn from grey to colour; click the "show me" button and then close the adviser. Now your turns should pass appropriately. I recommend doing this before ever you touch the "end turn" button, even if you are 99% sure you have already done it.

Thank you for both your answers. I feel safe playing now. I did not want to find out i ruined the whole campaign 50-100 turns in.

No problem. Good advice, Wambat. I need to figure out a better way to document that.

I've Found I need to enable the script only when I load a game by clicking on a city, than the advisor usually pops up and tells me the season. Although I must say, I forget ALL the time, So I have to restart my campaigns because I found that if you have any 16-20 year olds in school thier education progresss stops.

Yeah, it's pretty reliable, but not perfect. I always just try to click on a city as soon as I start a game, just to be on the safe side. It's still easier than it was pre-automation, though.
