    Eurogamer preview up!
    http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/na...l-war-hands-on

    First paragraph:

Empire: Total War was sloppy. Can we reach a consensus here? Even anyone who loved it - and for all its flaws we loved it enough to give it 9/10 - would admit its bugs were "a shame", the combat pathfinding "temperamental", the AI "distracted", the tutorials "lightweight" and its manual "environmentally considerate"

MP campaign will be in.. so it seems

If a reviewer gives a game a 9/10, its telling the public that its a slam dunk can't miss game-go buy immediately.

They have lost all credibility by criticizing it now. The game was a 6, you gave it a 9. You should be fired.

ive been hoping to read a preview which mentions the campaign map smoothness and quick loading times, but have not yet found one

Is one of the things that bugged me so much about ETW, was that as the campaign map landscape develops and factions get bigger, it all starts to slow down between turns. Perhaps its inevitable. Perhaps its fixed. Will soon see!

also, from looking at the comments below the preview, this guy seems to say what we are all thinking

All of this will not matter one iota if the battle AI is not improved significantly.

wait a good mp campaign (which has been confirmed) and drop in battles could make up for a bad bai, well back to the article a bugless preview code is good, hopefully the game itself will have few bugs aswell

It's always going to slow down between turns, since the time it takes is proportional to how much is going on. When all the major powers have umpteen full-stack armies and are all trying to kill each other, there's bound to be some lag.

What I found funny was at the very end of the article he claimed that he was being cynical, but all I saw was optimism about how great napolean was going to be.
