Music Suggestions to play TW with

We all recall the VANILLA soundtrack, repetitive (after the first few days) and monotone music delivered by CA . I usually turned off the vanilla music and played something else that was on my computer that was much more epic. Fortunatly there were mods that changed the vanilla soundtrack by implementing their proper music such as broken crescent ,broken shadow ,arthurian tw.... In doing so it was easier to immerse yourself in the hard medieval climate of charging knights and waves of piercing arrows.

I would love to see a small topic where people can post their suggestions for music to play during a tw session. I understand that everyone has a different taste bout music ,but twgamers will probably have the same taste. Anyone who has suggestions about good music to play tw with, can post here . It doesnt need to be something mainstream / easy to find on the net. The more diverse = richer experience. You can post anything but be aware of what you post .You might like Pink or Beyonce or Jay-Z but dont put something like that in this topic.(maybe we can change it into a sticky,if it seems popular enough )

I for example love listening to the soundtrack of the gladiator and 300 when playing Rome.


Dead mans chest and the armenian artist Lévon Minassian-Armand Amar when playing m2tw .
In general Hans Zimmer ,who made the OST of the gladiator ,dead mans chest , batman dark asylum, delivers great film/gaming music.

Classical music when playing empire ... and napoleon in the nearby future

These were all suggested by fellow twgamers at home ,and i have to say that it truly enhances the gameplay!
So come on ,post your favourite tw playing music with the following if possible : artist ,album + link to a site where you can listen to it, so you can decide if it is worth getting on your computer.

I like a soundtrack of Tristan & Isolde movie composed by Anne Dudley and some tracks of soundtrack of Kingdom of Heaven movie. Now I play Das Heilige Römische Reich and I am looking for how to add this music into the game.

Hanz Zimmern is a highly overrated musical composer. Music in Gladiator had its moments but it was overall a good, but hardly extraordinary soundtrack. All of the music from the Pirates movies were repetitive, unimaginative, and bland. And TDK? It may sound cool, but it's not special at all.

Music from Shogun and Medieval, especially Medieval, Total War were really good. RTW was good too. M2TW was disappointing. I think it was in SPQR that I heard music from Ben Hur. That was well done. Whenever I am doing something for a long time, I always put on some Koyaanisqatsi or Powaqqatsi (and maybe Naqoyqatsi) by Philip Glass.

Everyone its proper taste. Yours is too calm in my opinion to play TW with .

Although Hans Zimmer is overrated, I am a fan.
I think that although it´s very oriental based, the ST from The last Samurai was epic, (there was one particular track that was very, errrr... "CHAAAAAARGE!!!" ).
KoHST is very cool for campaign, since most of it is very calm. (very cool on Crusades, I wonder why :? )
Shame the LOTRST reminds me of LOTR so much , Always thought some of that music was dark enough to suit Medieval times very well.

Ive been listening lately to the soundtrack of mtw , it has a far better soundtrack than m2tw!

Soundtrack to Napoleonic for MTW is incredible
