    Default Central Asian News

This topic is for continuing reports from Central Asia that is political and news worthy. This is to save me from making multiple topics everyday.

    First up is from Mongolia:

The president Tsakhia Elbegdorj wants to ban the death penalty. The opposition supports the death penalty, which would make it a hard thing to do. I personally support the death penalty so that it stops the wrong sort of people moving in with innocent people. I hope that this fails, though if he has enough clout it might go through.

Kazakhistan took over the chairmanship for the OSCE and are going in the right direction I feel. Democracy is not nessesary but infrastructure and security is more import. I hope Kazakhistan improves through his measures, rather than focus on democracy.

Turkmenistan is in Central Asia so yes.

Pakistan might be included depending on how I feel about the report and whether it pretains to Central Asia.

I have a nagging suspicion he's a self hating westerner trying to a home turf advantage on these arguments.

What if it is a report on a deal between Pakistan and Turkmenistan? Like, say, a deal on immigration between the two?

Actually, Pakistan is between Central Asia, the middle East, and technically South Asia.

But anyways, shahenshah, are you Pakistani or not?
