The president Tsakhia Elbegdorj wants to ban the death penalty. The opposition supports the death penalty, which would make it a hard thing to do. I personally support the death penalty so that it stops the wrong sort of people moving in with innocent people. I hope that this fails, though if he has enough clout it might go through.

Kazakhistan took over the chairmanship for the OSCE and are going in the right direction I feel. Democracy is not nessesary but infrastructure and security is more import. I hope Kazakhistan improves through his measures, rather than focus on democracy.
