    Icon3 offense nobles of AI?

hello DLVs...i am wondering if AI faction king has such traits like "offense nobles" so that their land will be splitted. My 2nd question is if I occupied their original capital, AI king should now always bear offense nobles trait...then they will never develope in large...

I hate Milan Faction and I fear their hordes. So I drive him away from Italy to Arabic...to fight against egypt. But if above assumption is true, it should never grow up....

Only the player is subject to it. The AI wouldn't be able to cope.

I have seen AI factions with the 'Offend nobilty' & the 'Inspire to Civil War' -trait before, infact on more then one occation. Tho I doubt the AI would allow a Civil war, their generals and Kings do get weaker, however, not as weak as you might get.

Milan is a pretty small faction, ergo it would do just fine. If you want to give them a spin, then plant them on Florida and fund a war against the Native americans and their gold reserve. You can demand military access and trade rights, which in the end increase your income of your own overseas Americas Merchants.

I also very much belive the AI can capture other crowns of the same religion, just like you can -- so planting them in Oslo/Aarhus or any other similar crowning settlement, before crushing their pre settlements, might give them a new (nordic) crown and permanent colony.

Thorolf was thus armed. Then Thorolf became so furious that he cast his shield on his back, and, grasping his halberd with both hands, bounded forward dealing cut and thrust on either side. Men sprang away from him both ways, but he slew many. Thus he cleared the way forward to earl Hring's standard, and then nothing could stop him. He slew the man who bore the earl's standard, and cut down the standard-pole. After that he lunged with his halberd at the earl's breast, driving it right through mail and body, so that it came out at the shoulders; and he lifted him up on the halberd over his head, and planted the butt-end in the ground. There on the weapon the earl breathed out his life in sight of all, both friends and foes. [...] 53, Egil's Saga
I must tell you here of some amusing tricks the Comte d'Eu played on us. I had made a sort of house for myself in which my knights and I used to eat, sitting so as to get the light from the door, which, as it happened, faced the Comte d'Eu's quarters. The count, who was a very ingenious fellow, had rigged up a miniature ballistic machine with which he could throw stones into my tent. He would watch us as we were having our meal, adjust his machine to suit the length of our table, and then let fly at us, breaking our pots and glasses.

Seen this a few times as well. I've seen large AI empires crumble because of rebellions , though I can't tell if it's just bad luck , or has anything to do with the 'offense nobles' trait. But if Taiji says AI is ummune to these effects , I'm inclined to believe him.

So , the AI might be immune to these negative traits , it ain't immune to rebellions...

If it isn't immune to the negative effects of these traits, or the traits themselves, then I think someone has made a big mistake.

I can confirm that the AI generals get all the "offensive" traits, including "you are not my king" once their capital is taken.

Looking into the traits file the triggers for Offensive_To_Nobles seem to switch between "and not FactionIsLocal" and "and FactionIsLocal" with different outcome so the AI getting the Offensive_To_Nobles traits (with a low propability) and their sub effects is at least somewhat intentional if I read this correctly.

Interesting info, Furin. Well, it would be amazing if it was part of a greater script that handed over all of a faction's assets upon capture of the capital... but otherwise I think the AI will be badly affected just when it really needs to give the player some challenge. It feels right to be attacked viciously by the AI after taking their capital... perhaps my vision is colored about that though, I do like being attacked

The code fore viciously attacking a capital is already there, big rebel stacks attack your different captured capitals during civil war. So to make a faction try to take back their capital all I'd have to do is take that code and merge it with a settlement taken thingy and add a counter so it does not happen every time.

I'll check it out once I finished my fixes post, shouldn't be too hard.
