    Default Culture

    I know this is not the place and I hope that JAL won't be furious, but I need help.

    Does anyone know the culture number limit for a mod?

    And can anyone tell me is it possible to split the factions in a culture to give them different portraits, event pics, ect...?

    If not is this maybe possible with a religion system?

    Please help, and thank you in advance!

    It would be interesting to split "followers of Sauron" to "Orcs" and "Evil humans"
    What if your entire purpose in life was to be "dead teen #2".

    Question number 2:
    Yes it is possible to do that. Just look at Mordor and Harad. I believe that these icons are defined per faction rather then per culture.

    Mordor and Harad don't share the same culture.

    Unless something has changed in 1.4 (which I haven't seen yet) they do indeed: Followers of Melkor.

    But there are two kinds of culture right? Not a full bottle on this but there's the culture that affects building style etc. (e.g. Northern European) and the one that's like the equivalent of Religion (Followers of Melkor, Dunedain, Northmen, Elven, Dwarven).

    Which one are we talking about?

    Which one are we talking about?
    Harad is middle eastern culture and Mordor is eastern europe culture. That culture affects all things portrait, event pics...

    Followers of Melkor is actually their religion (catholics). The Elves are orthodox, the Dwarves are islam, Gondor is numenorian, and the rest are northmen.

    Their cultures are as follows: High/Silvan Elves are greek, Dwarves are southern european, Eriador/Rohan/Dale are northern european, Gondor is gondor, Harad/Rhun are middle eastern, and OotMM/Isengard/Mordor are eastern european.

    In the UI the faction portraits, building/event pics ect are seperated to different cultures, so High Elves and Silvan Elves (greek culture) share the same pics, and so on. He is asking if we could seperate the pics for different factions, instead of different cultures (so as Harad would have different pics than Rhun, for example). I guess if it was possible they would have done it already.

    Okay. Well in part answer to your second question then I don't think that a religion system is the answer because there is no religion in this mod; there's the second kind of culture instead. And if you split the evil factions at that level then they can't all join invasions.

    You must be asking so you can split the Chaos factions in TATW for the different colour schemes in the interface...
