    Its not called imperial edition in north america. its called limited edition. Aptly named because it wont have all the artwork and the pretty cover that the imperial edition in europe has.

    btw, steam limited edition in america has only 1 bonus unit pack included. The retail edition has 2 bonus unit packs.

    Yes you can but the Steam versions I feel are inferior to the retail limited edition in most regards the Imperial edition on Steam has 11 Unique Units counting the preorder unit and a "free"(read $10) copy of Medieval II Total War($49.99), then theres the standard edition on Steam which only has the preorder unit($39.99), the limited edition has 15 UUs and is ($39.99). I'd concede the Steam Imperial edition as acceptable in price and bang for your buck if it was Medieval II Gold.
