I've searched the forums for anything that might help, but to no avail.
I want to achieve the following: I want to get the environment map (or off-battlemap area) shrouded in very low-density fog with the skydome textures not obscured by the fog, much like the gloom fog effect during sunrise or sunset, but less dense and not (or only very subtly) affecting the battlemap area (you can see effects like this in the vanilla intro videos, for example).
I know that there is an interaction between the settings in the daytypes.txt and the battlemap_lighing_and_fog_control.txt, and I already managed to make the normal fog (which obscures the skydome textures) less dense.
So, if anyone has done this or knows what can be done about it, I would like to know how to adjust the settings in both .txt files to achieve the desired effect. I have tried a lot of variations, but did not arrive at the desired effect.
