I wonder what is this horseman near the french old guard: It mades me think about the french carabineers but not exaltly... It look likes an austrian...
french carabiner
It is a French Carabinier, but the horse saddle cloth and roll are wrong, looking like an Austrian Cuirassiers to me, hopefully CA will get the horse saddle cloth right, but I am worried they ran out of time(rushed job) and will use the same horse for different units, even countries? Big shame if they do for me, also the French Carabinier would ideally be on a black horse, on campaign as horses were lost this would get tricky, but when they could, partic as they were Elite regiments(2 I think) then a black horse was highly favoured to contrast well with the sky blue, white, red, and brass of the uniform, to make it so much more striking. It's no different than the Scot Greys being mounted on Grey horses!
Hey Mr panzerschreck, I notice you like to be first with CA's little releases, well done, but you must sure do alot of internet scouring, unless you have some software that searches for you(joking I think)

well, i'm already looking forward to the reskins.![]()
There's definitely much potential for reskinning! With a little bit of luck, it will be possible to find a way to make bicorn-wearing pre-1807 Prussians from the existing models. That would make a fine Jena and Auerstädt. Have you seen the staff of the Austrian general? The men are wearing powdered wigs with side locks - perfect for the real ancien régime touch.
Why? They don't seem bad to me.

nice screenies... but they are all of cut scenes!!! and what makes it worse is... who knows if these scenes will even be viewable (ie. ETW's laggfest cut scenes)
YES! finally the wigs! This minor detail will make the 18th century so much better, I mean france was the first country to abolish the wigs and the other nations followed later.
I hope this can be copied into Empire total war
