OK so im playing my campaign and France gets excommunicated. I have 600,000+ florins and I've been bored because after killing off the English I've only been at war with Denmark. The pope keeps me from actually achieving anything against the Danes so I've been building up my finances. I went from 100k to 620k in less than 30 turns. In my next campaign I am not going to the New World at all. At first I thought England would be aggressive against me so I went there are the start and England never came so my economy has been excellent since the beginning. So I'm getting ready to restart my campaign but I figured why not try some things.

yeah exploiting the crusade mechanic is often spoke about i actually wanted to put costs to doing crusades as in reality they where very expensive but the game mechanic they are huge money makers

Ps try taking brazil with the aggressive Ai as i kept telling you i am betting the aztecs will kick you out of the new world before you can drink some guiness there

playing VH/VH and daves ironman rules will test you big time no more exploits for you.

LoL I dont normally play like that, was just curious and my campaign was unplayable with 680k in the bank. The aztecs really need to take the new world imo. If a player gets there and is able to maintain a garrison without revolts like I did you can really make some serious coin. After I tried the merchant stack my merchant trade was almost 30k a turn. And my unit upkeep was a little over 30k, so everything else just goes in the bank or against buildings so your money increases exponentially.
