Minimod: Silvan Forest Wardens and Horse Archers recolored

I didn't liked the electro-green color sheme of Silvan forest wardens and horse archers, so I did a little recolorization replacing cold tones on some natural and more camo-like. Except armor and weapons of course.

Nice, but I would prefer some darker green (but not as blue as the before one).
I think your light green is a little Rohan style.

Great stuff! I've been waiting for this for some time now

. I think though, that the old electro-turquoise color of the armor is still disturbing the new green color balance. I suggest you recolor the armor as well

Right now I'm converting the turquoise armour to steel-gray one.

EDIT Here it is:

But before release I'll try to retexture the shields to be more like shields covered by Celtic ornaments like silvan spearmen shields are.

Well that's better, although feel in love with the goldish armor that some of the units use as texture (first horse archer to the right, second pic). Personal taste though

Should make sense if they used similar ornaments.

It is better than the original color pattern,but i still do not care for all that green.Eriador units are a turn off to me also.I hate that bright green.I think if you tone it down with some browns and olive drab colors it would look more realistic.The bright greens tend to look to cartoonish to me.But as an artist that is my eye's opinion.Most colors in the ancient days were flat and faded.Not so bright.

It looks nice If you have the time I would redo the shield design to reflect something more leaf shapped to go the direction that weta went. The cloth looks more silk like and does not seem to go along with the suede like materials that mose of their warriors seemed to wear. I agree with the seintiment that this unit seems a little cartoonish when compared with the others. Like what your doing keep going.
