    Default Animated Bows like EB2?

I read in the patch notes for version 1.4 and I was just wondering if they implimented the same animation that the Europa Barbarorum team is using for their upcoming Medieval total war 2 Mod Europa Barbarorum 2. For actual "Bending" bows and drawable strings and arrows that are actually placed on the bow.

I am downloading this mod again right now as I type (Different comp)

Here's a link for the video:

notice at 0:17 it states the animation for bows is "as seen elsewhere". Is this a universal animation that has become popular?

Hmm I only played as Rhun when I had this on my other computer, unanimated bows like vanilla MTW2. But i didnt check all of the factions. Why couldnt they just have gone a little extra to make animated weapons. May sound strange but to me it adds alot to a game. Seeing archers acting like they're drawing an invisible arrow draws the appearance of using their weapons wrong, bow are Supposed to bend!

I'll have to re-check this as I'm playing the High Elf faction, I do believe that the bow animation has been implemented. Thanks for introducing me to EB2 btw. I love TC with innovations such as TATW.

Well thank you, and also you're welcome on the introduction. I have played EB for a while and I just found out about EB2 about a month ago.

Some archer units do have animated bows - elven light archers for sure and I think other elven archers aswell - back 1.3 the archers of Harad and Rhún used non animated bows and I'm sure orcs (of the MM) still use these in 1.4. Which units have gotten new ones for 1.4 I don't know.

I'm pretty sure that Rhun as well as Gondor, Dale and the Elves got the bowstring animation.
