Icon8 Possible to fix AI problems?

    Hey,

So after playing almost every mod there is for RTW and BI, there's two problems with the AI that pretty much completely ruin the game for me:

1.) The AI sends lots and lots of tiny stacks. This is incredibly frustrating, there's very rarely large, epic battles but instead, it's lots of tiny stacks scattered everywhere. Very annoying and boring to fight.

2.) The AI recruits terrible armies. Most of the time, the AI's armies are cheap, light infantry with occasionally some elite units and cav.

Anyone else get annoyed with these two things? Is there a way to fix these problems at all?

The only idea I could come up with to fix the second issue would be simply to remove all light infantry/cheap units from the game. Give the AI only the option to recruit good units. No idea how to solve the first problem.

The SQPR Mod has almost nothing but massive armies.
They do it by making it so you can recruit up to 9 units a turn. I think..

    Darkness beyond twilight
    Crimson beyond blood that flows
Buried in the stream of time is where your power grows
I pledge myself to conquer all the foes who stand
before the mighty gift bestowed in my unworthy hand
Let the fools who stand before me be destroyed
by the power you and I possess

I totally sympathize with you, but don't know a solution, as I am quite new to the game. Sometimes, I miss the huge AI armies I faced in MTW (part 1). For a dumb AI, the "1 region is just 1 spot" system works much better.

Roma Surrectum features big stacks as enemies aswell.

In vanilla there's still the option to cheat and give the enemy armies better units to make battles more attractive.

Now one could say cheating is lame but hey: this time it would be only to make it harder instead of easier.

Try Darth Mod or Lusted's AI's. They work well.
