does this mod work whit steam version of rome total war gold? and does RS2 work when it comes

It explains how to make the mod work, with the rome total war gold purchased through steam, as for RS2, I think, if its not
using the ALX.exe, then theoraticlly, it should be playable as well.

I use steam as well, just in case you get conflicting results from your search the easy solution again is to simply add in the following line in launch options after you install RS into the RTW steam directory (right click properties on Rome Total War gold): -nm -show_err -mod

Upon launching Rome or barbarian invasion (right click in game list to select BI) you should see the Roma Surrectum splash screen so it is pretty easy to tell if you have done it right. Of course make sure to turn off auto save in preferences and read the rest of the install instructions in the installer thread as usual.

I haven't gotten it to work with Alexander (which you won't have, and will have to purchase separately if for example you got RTW gold with Empire). Though I plan to mess with it more once RS 2 comes out so thank you RCOG for your post. Looks... well complicated but I'm sure it isn't too bad.
