Default Short legion tracking sheet mod to killsheet

I have been using Garnier's killsheet in my SPQR campaign and it adds a terrific layer of depth to the game; great stuff.

When I'm playing tho, it's a little too big to have readily at hand and I don't want to jump out of game just to check which legion is where.

So I took the liberty of modifying it to that purpose and have attached same.

I've changed Current status to read Legate for the commanding general's name. The next column is the legion's name. These are readily available on line; just Google "Roman Legion Names" and you'll get eleven pages of really interesting info.

I've also got columns to track in what AOR legion is located and whom they are fighting.

I've found this useful and thought I'd share. Again all credit goes to Garnier; wouldn't have thought of it otherwise.
"With a population of around a million, Rome (in Claudius' time) was a vast city even by modern standards. It is worth pointing out that during the early Renaissance the population of Rome was no more than fifteen thousand-- living amid the ruins of a civilization that dwarfed their own. It was not until the nineteenth century that the population of Rome returned to the levels it had enjoyed under the Caesars. That is eloquent proof of the fact that human history is not a tale of steady progress towards greater knowledge and achievement." Simon Scarrow

Good idea Paladin, but would you mind resaving it as a regular .xls instead of .xlsx? The latter either requires you to have office 2007 to open, or you need a program to convert it, and I just cba atm. Probably others with the same thoughts when it comes to trying out something new they didn't know they needed
And cze, why alt tab at all, just use two monitors, lol. Give the guy some cred, hehe

Ejergard, my ltd computer skills exposed once again!

When I try to "save as", the following are the options:
    Excel workbook
    Excel Macro enabled workbook
    Excel Binary
    Excel 97-2003 workbook
    Open document spreadsheet
    Pdf or XPS

Any of those do it for you?

I saved it as Excel 97-2003 and when I try to attach it, I get an "invalid file" error msg.

I added another column to keep track of legion's homeport. My current tracking sheet attached. Legion VI is unready because it was crunched in the siege of Carthage and is retraining.

czePowerslave, if you want to see what it looks like, here's what I did; it's easy.

Copy and paste the first six columns of Garnier's kill sheet, the columns labeled Legion # to Ready.

Legion # stays the same; change the current status column to read Legate for the commander's name. The next column changes to Name for the legion's name.

After the Ready column add three more columns titled, AOR (where the legion is), Enemy (who they're fighting), and Home (their base). Done.

    Interesting.
Well I always deployed the legions against enemy and used to color the background of their name with proper killsheet color. And home, thats pretty much obvious!

    Latest version attached.

The ready column is color coded, green for fully ready, etc.

You'll notice that Legio III rebelled in 191 and is annotated as DD, discharged dishonorable. I've not yet troubled to go kill them off and recover the number for use.

All legates now annotated with the year they took command. I got this hint from Ejergard because leaving one in command for more than 15yrs makes him more susceptible to rebellion while you're pretty safe under 15. The notation PC for the legate of the XII stands for proconsul which is my way of annotating the faction leader and heir who are apparently immune from any tendency to revolt.

Latest version attached. Folks who are beyond the destruction of Carthage (Carthage delenda est) in their campaigns will have no need of this. What I've done is add at bottom the fourteen Carthaginian cities that have to be conquered to allow Marian reforms. These are colored to show ownership.

Also have added, for reminder sake, the types of structures that need to be destroyed when conquering enemy cities.
