    Default Nobles "Feels dishonored"

Kind of confused here, I'm playing as Scotland and it seems that no matter what I do my only governor and even king 'feel dishonored' with a -5 loyalty hit. Now this started off as 'feels disrespected' or something with a slight loyalty hit and seems to have progressed to this level though I can't understand why. I've made him the governor of my capital and kept him close to my king. I also hit 'no' on the whole 'crown duty' thing (btw do I have to do that every turn in order to keep it off?) I don't know what I'm doing to make him feel slighted or how to stop it. I've read the entire manual with no result, any ideas?

The answer is no. If you click no in one turn then it is set as "no" untill you will change this by yourself.

About loyalty I can't give you much help. I "fix" my governors by placing them in capital with king for some turns - they stay "dishonoured" but also gain "has the sovereign eye" trait that gives some small boost in loyalty. Also maybe trying to transfer some titles from your king to disloyal governor could help a bit.

Move them around a bit, if they're stuck in one province forever they tend to get annoyed.

But you have to keep them governing to get the governer's trinkets which are oh-so-important for getting gov points maxed.

    I like the gamble

You mean move him to, say, another town and let him govern there for a couple turns or just send him say from Edinburgh to Aberdeen and then back all within the same turn?

Every 10 turns or so try to move people around, find them new homes for the next 10 turns or so. But only people who have maxed their gov trinkets, or generals.

That's a better way to put my tip

Hanging out with the king, when he's back at the ancestral capital, can help loyalty a lot... this is really curative not preventative. My tip above is mostly preventative but prioritises gov trinkets.

    Hey you tykje-jævel, long time.

The golden rule to stay healthy loyal -- every man need to stay active. Same goes for DLV: Generals, fight. Governors, build. (stay in the settlement on the turn you cut the red ribbon to become loyal.) Also many Overseer titles and swords around to max it.

Thorolf was thus armed. Then Thorolf became so furious that he cast his shield on his back, and, grasping his halberd with both hands, bounded forward dealing cut and thrust on either side. Men sprang away from him both ways, but he slew many. Thus he cleared the way forward to earl Hring's standard, and then nothing could stop him. He slew the man who bore the earl's standard, and cut down the standard-pole. After that he lunged with his halberd at the earl's breast, driving it right through mail and body, so that it came out at the shoulders; and he lifted him up on the halberd over his head, and planted the butt-end in the ground. There on the weapon the earl breathed out his life in sight of all, both friends and foes. [...] 53, Egil's Saga
I must tell you here of some amusing tricks the Comte d'Eu played on us. I had made a sort of house for myself in which my knights and I used to eat, sitting so as to get the light from the door, which, as it happened, faced the Comte d'Eu's quarters. The count, who was a very ingenious fellow, had rigged up a miniature ballistic machine with which he could throw stones into my tent. He would watch us as we were having our meal, adjust his machine to suit the length of our table, and then let fly at us, breaking our pots and glasses.

moving helps and as far as i know fighting battles helps as well. however if one plays a huge kingdome with many characters this gets annoying quickly i think.
there should be simply more events like tournaments, banquets, royal hunts, stanley cup games etc to give people loyalty. these events allways should cost money. throw money around and live large and your followers like you or be cheap and disliked.
many disloyal chracters allways annoyed me in dlv. the event thingy could fix it.
i wouldnt care if i had to pay 3/4 of my income to keep those dudes happy if it saved me the pain of send them on hikes all the time.

Aye, I'd like more chances to throw money around and make all my generals feel visibly happier.

Agreed. Need way more events to influence this. I was playing HRE and am having a heck of a time with this. Even though my economy is good....these commanders are acting like twits.
