    Icon4 Joining A new Mod team!

    Hey guys, well me and Russian Gondor are making a new mod from MTW2, and were looking for a team. Once we get some more people were gonna talk on a private chat to confirm everything! So were looking for a 2d person,3d person, Skins, ect. I do excell in Skins but we need others aswell. So were not sure what kind of mod, so if you want it tell us what you excell in or if your new and want to learn the basics! If you have any ideas post below! Peace!!

    sorry to seem negative but you either come recruiting with a solid somewhat developed mod ( preferably can show some tangible results) or be prepared to be the sole propenant! sorry! I do not think you will get help!

    This start with all good intention, but why, ho why did you start a thread in the "Third Age" section. There is a "Sub-Mod" forum for this sort of thing, and beside if this mod is for "Mtw2" and not a sub-mod of the already good Third-Age, I don't see the point in all this, (No Project description, no base, no description off what the already two member of this team can do, or explenation about their abbility at modding.) Just think about that and, when you are realy ready then make the annoncement. You will get help, or receptivity much better that way.

    It was suggested that one should first present his ideas/concepts for his submod. That way people can decide if its a worthy project to join or not. So please answer this or else this thread also doesn't serve a real purpose:

    tell us what you are thinking about in general (about you and your modding plans).
    if it carries fruits i will move this thread to the mod section maybe. but if there
    aren't any specific plans and goals we have to close this thread and tell you to
    look for existing mods, that you can join.
    and there are a lot of mod projects that still could need help in different ways.
    but i really would like to see you getting started in contributing to TATW.

    @ Aragon45 & Russian Gondor:

    I'm glad to see you start getting together a team and that you obviously
    really want to stay the course. but i suggest that you should rather open
    a thread in the submod section with a thread title that let the people know
    about your plans or at least intentions.

    something like: [IDEA] New TATW Mod (untitled ATM) is looking for Teammembers
    (surly only if it is meant to be a TATW mod)
    (and remeber that you always can change the title of a thread)

    in that thread you add all facts yyou already know to the first post:

    > existing members and their roles
    > members you still need for specific things (scripting, moddeling, 2D, textures, strat, 3D animation, skins, sound, video - and so on and so on)

    > at least some facts about the mod. (time it is playing, involved factions & characters, based upon?, what you will mod and you want to adopt from TATW)

    > than you should write, that you don't have a title by now - you still looking for a proper one - but you should at least use a working title.

    I meant Basics to modding, and modeling.

    There is a lot of knowledge & stuff documented out there, see feel free to learn yourself some basics in modding.

    A tip if you want to contribute to the modding community but have no idea for a submod/mod try to join an existing one. Show the current sub mod leaders what you can and what you want to do and maybe they will recruit you. Its very hard to start a submod with no ideas or experience.

    Anyhow, no-one will join a mod team they know nothing about, you need a well presented, well organised declaration possibly with full detail of your aims and progress, team memebers and their skills, and what skilld are needed.

    Make Shogun 2 Total War. On the forum polls everyone wants it back, and I don't think CA will be working on a new Shogun anytime soon.

    ++ rep for aesir.

    Sorry about that, he went on himself. But in the meanwhile I have 2 ideas.

    We need a vote on either a FULL custom mod with full new factions, units, and a map but based more or less on vanilla.

    Or we have another choice as a Guild Wars Total War.

    If you are interested for Guild Wars Total War I can wrap up a map, all factions, units, etc in a few hours with ease.
