Is it much work?

Hi guys.

I have SS6.2 installed on my PC and this mod is awesome exept one things and this is strictly personal opinion.

For one rison or other i just simply hate large maps and since SS has greather map then Vanilla version it is bothers me very much. ( i know its sound crazy)

Dont know why but i'm just in love with Vanilla map from M2TW.

So i basicly want to know if there anyone who has same feeling or even changed SS mod to Vanilla map (for personal use)?

What i want to know how hard it was to change... is it very time consuming process?


I have read trough this tut: http://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=50437.

But its generaly explain how to make complete new grand campain map (though its still can be used)

So feel free to give some advise or point on some things that require atention for change or even feel free to share the mod ( if you have done exact same and changed SS to VAnilla basic map)

Copy the entire map from vanilla, remove garissons, put new ones in (and the SS factions, if you want to)

That what i was thinking off.

But since SS has more factions presented in game i probably need to change something else to distrebute those factions correctly on vanilla map.

Also what about mercinarys? Or city's? since there is more in Ss as in vanilla? think i have to modify this is as well.

If you know exactly how to do it could you plz more specific and point wich/how many files i have to modify and wich i have to leave unchanged as they are in SS.

Ask in the Mod Workshop, I can't tell you everything you want to know. Those guys have much more skill and can tell you very easily, whilst it would take me more time to answer one question.
