"Non-Sentient Universe Creation Energy" or the N.U.C.E

Basically it just refers to whatever it was that created time, space and all matter with the Big Bang. To give the N.U.C.E human like qualities would be an anthropomorphism of a purely natural force like the wind, the kind of thing the ancient Pagans liked to do.

Sounds like something else creationists can intellectually hang themselves with.

    Arch-hereticK,

And what are the other things?
Pseudo science, phoney qualifications, indoctrination of and lying to children, corruption of legal systems and unfounded bigotry to name a few.

    That is a weird idea.

Theists like to point out that something must have created the universe and that something must have been God. So now we can agree on that point after a fashion, just with a slight modifcation to the God concept.

How can anyone make that massive assumtion and still claim to be honest? We don't know, we can't know yet, to claim otherwise makes you a liar.

Lol isnt this kind of a flame towards all religious people in the world? calling em liars?
You have a certain mentality, a "you vs them" and i know it is hard to see, but it is only your imagination which makes up enemies everywhere. I haven't professed anything but being neutral so why Do you feel the need to defend yourself from me?. Truly What are you defending? when there is nobody attacking?

Not religious people particularily, but anyone who makes claims about the unknown.
Or is making claims about the unkown not lying in your opinion?

But those who just dont claim the unknown but live by it is religious people, so he is not only insulting one phrase a person has said, but their whole lives.

In other words you're trying to use the God of the Gaps fallacy to meet them halfway on something they don't meet halfway on? Brilliant.

Worth bearing in mind that the N.U.C.E will be scientifically explainable even if we can't explain it quite yet. But yeah this is the God of the Gaps we're talking about he does exist for real.

So you're giving a fancy name to something they don't accept anyway. You see the pattern here? You see the problem that arises in the sheer lack of progress that would be made?

Speaking from a non bias position here, just because you can scientifically explain something, does not disprove god. Therefor that argument about the god of gaps is meaningless. Im sure if god did exist, he'd know that men would become more technology advanced and knowledgeable. Just because 1000 years ago they didnt understand how atoms work, and now they do, would just theoritically prove the excellence of 'god'. Right?

Why? Why did something have to create the universe?

Is there any point in calling such a thing God, though? At the end of the day, we're just playing with the definition of words.

For most Theists (excluding Deists, at least) conciousness, thought, and supernatural force is part of the very nature of God.

Technically theists are right in that there was an original cause they're just vastly unlikely to right in thinking that the original cause was some kind intelligence that cares about (or is angered by the sins of) humans. The Bronze Age God of the Jews just doesn't fit into this picture.
