Default Grave problem finishing romani campaign

I'm so unlucky right now, in real life and now in EB. I want to finish my Romani campaign and start another one but the problem is that Ptolemaioi has stretched so far in the east. Even reaching the city of Alexandropolis. Normally Selukid would keep them in check but this time around they failed miserably and only having 1 city left. Im in year 125 BC and Ptolemaioi is the last requirement for my victory. Its virtually impossible to maintain cities beyond the east because of the riots/revolts. Please someone give me tips or suggestion to finish my Romani campaign

Just sack them, no need to hold on to them as all you need to do is wipe the Ptolemaioi out, you could even try giving some to other factions.

It is possible to maintain order in cities anywere on the map. Even if you have your capital in ireland, it is possible to conquer and maintain the order in cities of india. For romans it is possible at least. The answer is - build up temples of jupiter to the max and entertainment buildings like coliseums, also a general with high influence in city is greatly desired at conquered cities (actually on my campaigns to the east I take as many good governors, as the number of cities I plan to occupy), and the last but not least - garrisons in conquered cities, however garrisons is temporal solution. Small towns and towns are hardest to occupy - it is impossible to build coliseums there so usually you have to keep a good governor there till it will hit size of minor city, then build coliseum and go on. Ahhh, forgot to mention - ALWAYS raze town population when you conquer it. Low population is easier to maintain in order. When it will regrow to previous size - you will allready have some law and order plus entertainment buildings built already, so the town will be yours for ever.

One more solution - is move your capital eastwards (your western cities are overdeveloped by now so it should not be riots there even if the capital will be far). But I prefer my capital to be Rome.

If you are not interested in conquering the east - use assasins and armies to kill Ptolemaioi family members, not focusing on occupying the cities.

Bobbin,I might try giving it to the other factions just like you said because I just can't leave them after sacking because they will revolt into Ptolemaioi again lol. Ill just use the cities for recruiting armies then ill give them away.

Zero, Building temples, raising law would take too much time... I really want to finish the campaign fast and focus on my new Saka campaign. Ill try moving my capital east and garrison troops in the west cities.

Thanks for the quick response guys!

I'd recommend getting the Force Diplomacy Mod if you don't already have it as factions can sometimes be a bit stupid about accepting cities.

As for the revolt thing it depends if they have upgraded the city, have a look at the description of the governers building to see who built it as cities will revolt to that faction or the rebels.

I might try that force diplomacy thing. The AI sometimes can be very hard headed. Is it for EB?
