1.02 save game compatible?

Didnt see it mentioned anywhere and im pretty sure ill have to start a new campaign but thought id ask anyway.. Are our saved games from 1.01 compatible with 1.02?

One other question while im at it.. Whats up with the "new Reiksmarshall" messege? Im playin as Reikland and unfortunately lost Kurt Helborg in a siege defense to a rather nasty horde of orcs.. Every turn after i lost him i get a messege saying the emperor has chosen a new knight to be the reiksmarshall.. yet none of my generals seem to carry the new title.. Is it something that hasnt been fully implemented or a bug?

It has new regions, so can't be save-game compatible

the thing with Reicmarshall should be a bug, I've seen reports about it in bugs subforum, look there
