Hello,
I just freshly installed Medieval 2 Total War, patch 1.2 and then patch 1.3; then I restarted and installed Medieval 2 Total War Kingdoms and then patch 1.5... Then with this fresh installation I installed Stainless Steel 6.0 part one, then 6.0 part two... and finally the latest 6.2 complete patch (which included 6.1 and the 6.2 hotfix)...
... I think this is a thorough enough description of my installation process.
So, after having done all of that, I clicked Stainless Steel to run the game and it came up wonderfully and I was happy and really enjoying that Irish music, absolutely beautiful... I went straight to the Early Era campaign and began clicking the different factions, looking at them all, and by the time I got to the last one (which happened to be Hungary) the game crashed instantly as soon as I clicked on it... That disappointed me, but I assumed maybe it was a bug with Hungary for some reason, so I started the game up and clicked on Hungary, nope nothing happened, so it wasn't that, so I thought maybe it was a 'one-off' and wouldn't happen again, so I started clicking the other factions and after viewing perhaps the third one (I don't remember which one it was I clicked when it crashed this time but it was not Hungary like the first time) then the game crashed to the desktop a second time.
So here I am, writing this in the hopes that there is some resolution to this.
Thanks for all of your hard work, it probably is something I did wrong, but that's why I explained my installation process thoroughly hoping to get straight to the source if possible.
Peace
Nevermind the post I made, someone answered it in another thread. Apparently if you click on too many factions then it crashes, but that's all. The rest of the game works fine, so the fix is simply not to click on too many factionseasy enough
Thank you,
Peace
