    Default Cornish Mod

    Hey,

I wanted to know if their is a mod for Cornwall. I really want to play EU3 with cornwall having the cornish culture instead of being a welsh culture. I also wanted cornwall to have its own coat of arms like the cornish shield with 15 byzants.. I wondered if anyone knew of such a mod existing and where to find it, or wether some people could get together to make it.

If you just want to play as Cornwall, just start a game as England, release Cornwall. Change tag to Cornwall, DoW, then change back to England, sue for White Peace, change back to Cornwall and accept.

Ofcourse, if you read through a few modding tutorials (i'm not much of a modder myself, never have the time), it should be quite easy to simply add Cornish as a culture and change the Cornish nation and the Cornwall province to it. It shouldn't be difficult to have the game start with cornwall either. The only difficult bit you've suggested is changing it's icon, something I wouldn't even know where to begin with.

This is quite a niche thing though, and since Cornwall was simply a part of England no mod is really going to have it as a starting nation, its ahistorical. You'll probably have to do all of this yourself if you really wanted to. I suggest you go to Paradox's official forums, register your games if you haven't already, and look up some modding tutorials.

Cool, I usually set Cornwall free and DoW and then demanded Cornwall's core to itself, trouble is how do you make Cornwalls primary culture cornish? I tried and it says now it has noculture.

I'm not entirely sure, but you'll have to create a new culture, change the nations culture, and change the province culture.

You could try the Whole World Mod(a.k.a. WWM). It has the Cornish culture, or at least its latest version for HttT does

EDIT: About the flag, you can easily change it by replacing the *.tga(in this case it would be crn.tga) in gfx\flags(or mod\WholeWorld\gfx\flags if youre using the mod ) with the one you want. Be sure to open an existing flag and get the correct dimensions though
[Sometimes its also necessary to delete the contents of map\cache for the flag to change, don't worry though it's just cache, so it may even improve performance ]

You will be conquered by england very quickly whether they have a core or not. England's AI is incredibly hostile to any of the nations they share the British isles with, especially ones that are much smaller.

I might suggest Divide et Impera. It has celtic/anglicized versions of the British Island celts (IE: if the scots are ruled by england, they're eventually all going to become "lowlander", but if they're ruled by any celtic nation, the scottish culture provinces become "highlander". The same for the welsh and cornish I think.
