This is how Total War should be like!

So, Medieval II: Total War is one of the games that allows you to command thousands and thousands of troops, along with the other TW titles. I've already loved commanding huge armies, but now, having spend several years with Medieval II, a great game, indeed, im no longer faschinated by the amount of troops anymore. So yesterday i was bored, and got a little idea. While its almost impossible to create single armies with 50.000 or more troops ingame (due to the system demands) I was having the idea of just rendering 50.000 men.

So boys and girls, allow me to show you how 50.000 soldiers would look in Medieval II, with all settings on max, and with no sprites at all!:

Yup, that's how it's promised with every new TW title and how it should be. Unfortunately with the mindset of today's gamers it is more important to focus on graphics than on gameplay.

I suppose you could create massive armies like this if you used the cloning technique in Vegas...I tried once but ran out of patience. This makes me want to try again

This inspired me to a whole new kind of rtw game. Think a game where u got bot-commanders in your army in which you have to tell their tacts before battle and then you dont have to micromanage stuff in-game(or atleast not everything, unless stuff go wrong).

is that a formation of 3 or more full stacks of army placed close to each other to make them all appear under your command?! is it?

With some highly illegal exe file modding it is quite possible to increase armies out to amazingly huge sizes ( i dont think thats what was done here) but it will make battles unrully and impossible to flank control etc.(all the hard codded limits are held in this file)

I am not promoting anyone to do this as i say it is highly illegal and will mostly likely result in the death of modding but theoreticly possible
