    Default Dark Elves Problems

    I have some problems with the Dark Elves. I have played in 37 turns without being able to recruit a single unit in addition to 1 spy and 1 assassin plz help

    Hmm... that sounds like a serious problem. Are there any barracks in your city (you may have to use the building descriptions to find what building does what if you don't have the translation)?

    I dont have the translator but ive i have built many buildings in my capital city

    Have you build a port? If memory serves me right you need a port in order to recruit your units.

    Thought this should fit well under this topic.
    I got another problem. I was very happy when i saw that a new version with my favorites Dark elves was released so i downloaded it and took the text files that ,cedric14, i think, posted? And not everything is in engligh but its ok it will come in some days. so i started to play as Dark elves but whenever i click on a city the game crashes. Except my own capital.. Why is it doing so ? Any hotfix ?

    There are still some problems getting the translations properly but it is being worked on. When it gets working there hopefully should be Dark Elf unit descriptions.

    Well i got unit description but not buililding so it might be the problem when trying to overlook a city?

    I also have some troubles with dark elves :

    - No Music apart from battle ones
    - Impossible to recruit new leaders ; they die at once !

    By the way, Malekith is way too weak now, he's a living legend in WHB

    I wrote here earlier and got the text files so everything works good now but the gameplay for the dark elves is terrible.
    First i start off with one city which is a camp and got one recruitment slot and lots of darkelves units take more time then one round. It takes 6 rounds to build a port and then another 4 for the normal barracks and then u gotta wait 6-7 rounds for next unit to become availabe. This needs balancing but this is not all.

    I rushed with the nice army you beginns with to the nearest settlement and sieged it at turn 2 , but instantly slaanesh took it over with a full stack and all other coastline cities both north and south of my capital was taken in 3 turns by the chaos lords. The high elves was taken by khorne 1 round later so i found no luck there. The nearest settlement avaialbe was an Night goblin castle in the mounatins south of khorne lands. So i took it over ( the castle floated btw over the ground cool bug, but i could take it anyhow just walked under the walls and houses and the squig hoppers is unkillable since they dont qount as units, they slaughterred 200 dark elves with no looses ). But then i realize that i can only build units where i can have port and i couldent in the mounatins so i exited my game and dident save it. took 20 rounds to even get to the nearest capturable settlement. All chaos factions had like 3 full stacks sourrounding their settlments and i got half stack and takes like 50 round to creata a decent army that still gets beat by one stack of chaos.

    So now im going to wait untill u make it possible to play the new faction, please fix it soon....

    That is quite true Timorfeys though the problem remains if the Dark Elf army can't recruit for such a long period. Without troops they can't take settlements and are just basically stuck there.

    A way to solve it could be either making it start with a port or make some nearby settlements expansion ground.

    some nearby settlements expansion ground sounds nice since every settlement in a range of 100 miles are chaos hunting grounds and i hope you don't mean that the dark elves should make war with the chaos since they got no armys and a little camp with wooden palisade to begin with.

    other thing that could be add for them is when they take a settlement, they gain more money for enslave the populace than for kill them all, and when in you nearest city it have a slave market that can boost a little more the money you gain for enslave
