Female units ?

Will thier be any female units in NTW ?

I know that the mazonz/amazonz where in ETW but that was it apart from them nothing else :/


I would like to see more female units included in the TW games.

Er, I'm guessing not. Did females have any part in actually fighting Napoleonic warfare? Hah.

As far as i know fish thier where females fighting the war during the napoleon invasion of eygpt thats just something i hear

Just what i read in some places i guess they should be added but hey a couple of female units wouldent hurt right ?

well, i wouldnt like it.
i can already picture some AI armies consisting of 8 wanna-be amazon troops
i doubt there were a lot of female soldiers in that era, just imagine: in those times women had almost no rights

it might be that women and children, traders and so on followed the armies, and were sometimes victims of fighting as well, but not voluntary

They sure do burn some ammo and take names i can tell you that i wouldent mind them troops in NTW.

I think what im trying to say here is why cant we have just a couple of female units in the game .... ?

I mean in shogun thier should of been woman because thier where female assassins which sometimes where the best ones.

anyone ever see that picture of washington crossing the delaware in his boat... was that not a woman carrying the flag... or maybe i'm thinking of the one where she was serving arty cannon.
but that was ETW era.

Typically if we are going to include wemon during this period then we are going to have to cover equally rare objects like blind men or men with broken legs... or men with leprosy.

In the west at least I think even female agents would have been < 1%

That`s all it is. Tittilation.

Women never fought in the 18th century in any meaningful way and, to be honest, still don`t. It`s a man thing. Women don`t do war unless it`s sending men off to it. And when you think about it, do you really want to send women off to war?

I remember in RTW when I had to deal with some Faction that seemed to have thousands of women warriors attacking my Romans. My Romans slaughtered them to a man-- er-woman. And it occured to me why would you send the only people who can give birth to your future population to die alongside the men in war?

It`s a great way to make sure you end your Faction.

Sure, women have fought in war, but only in desperate circumstances when the nation feels surrounded, about to run out of men or the country is about to fall. And even then, in many cases they are not expected to fight. for example, while Russia in WW2 put a lot of its it`s women to fight most other nations didn`t including Japan and Germany, right up until the end.

The closest thing I could find to female soldiers during that period or pre - period ( French revolution ) was the Women's March on Versailles.

Unless these ladies are included as some sort of limited elite volunteer unit for the French ( which is highly unlikely ) than I doubt we will see any female soldiers in the game.

Im not wanting a nude mod i have to say it did strike my mind when i was looking at other mods but i dont want it i just would like to see female support in TW games.

in the tutorial campaign, which takes place during the revolution, there could be a portrayal of the women's march on versailles.
