    yes, each roman family will take a symbol into battle. you can see that in the re-freshed 1st page preview . there is also a short note why . marius reforms changed legion emblems to eagles and unified stuff. before that, they used different symbols and the eagle was one of them

    this one above, is for roman deserters

    lightest unit i've made so far is: 48 KB (bytes: 49*152) and it is not an multiunit
    average multiunit (representing 4 factions with different appearance) is: 106 KB (bytes: 109*420) to 134 KB (bytes: 137*915)
    heavy multiunit is (officers for 8 factions with different appearance for all): 146 KB (bytes: 150*378) to 156 KB (bytes: 160*412)
    heaviest multiunit so far is: 169 KB (bytes: 173*126)

    @ magpie

    actually i think that making them swordsmen/javelineers will suit them better. maybe medium swords?

    wow those multiunits are quite heavy guess i cant play it on my old laptop dang

    it's not that bad game will use manyy of them at the same time, during battles, so it won't give you enormous lags
    we will post recomended settings as soon as we will finish the terrain files (trees, shrubs...) and test them
    some will be optimized and we will add LOD's (low definition models) to fasten the game a bit . by the way, we are getting rid of sprites i guess
    it works without a lag on my old PC (Intel Pentium D Cpu 3.00 GHz; 2.00 GB RAM; nVidia GForce 7600) when i switch off the grass game is as fluent as vanilla , but on my new PC i have no problems at all in high res with everything on MAX
    no worry mate. we will optimize as much as we can, but we also don't want to loose too much quality, so really weak PC's are out of business here.

    thats ok i have my desktop computer ready just in case, id rather see beautiful units my friend than compromising its details

    i was very optimistic last year, but right now i can't tell when. i we have no idea when we will finish this, because there is still much to do and we are constantly having new ideas. bulidings, units, terrain... lot's of stuff to do and we are not numerous team
