Mods Cost Much?

Debate on how much a mod can cost ?


Im thinking of doing or should i say spending cash on makeing a Mod for NTW called ZULU TOTAL WAR.

How much would it cost to do such a mod ?

I have a poll up you should be able to find it quite easy.

Its in the NTW DISCUSSION AREA.

Can i also add that i will be wanting to make a map like the ZULU movie which has alot of tribal areas of such and lots of hills.

Also would like to Texure the fort they stay in wile being attacked by zulu warriors.

Whatever gave you the impression making a mod cost money?
Its totally free unless (when more like ) C.A. begin to charge us for mod tools

Thankyou i was just thinking that the people who you get to help you maybe would be payed to help you ? just i wouldent have a clue where to start .... But i know what i want

And i know that if i did ever find someone that i could share my ideas

Nope, you'll have to convince/inspire them to work with you.

Well, you can post whatever concept you have for your mod and how you're planning on achieving your goal.

Maybe people will join you, maybe not.

I like what your trying to make,I would love to see a Zulu mod for NTW but sadly I don't think you will be able to make it anytime soon as C.A confirmed that they weren't releasing mod tools for NTW.

Thats a few bank jobs.

i don't know much about modding but i think it goes like this, you post a mod idea on the forum (make sure to read the modding instructions before) and say what for modders (look at mod credits for the different tasks) you need (you can also make it by yourself but that's a lot of work) and if your team is big enough start modding

Although it is probably impossible to calculate the cost of a mod, accurately, you should consider the following:

• Man-hours. Depending on your status (student, professional) your time is money. Either you want to use Wal-Mart hourly wage, minimum wage, or consultancy fee as a baseline, there is a monetary cost for you and your team.
• Software. Depending on the scope of your mode and the extent of your alterations there might be the need to purchase software.
• Hosting. TWC provides free hosting for your fora and limited hosting for files. If you want your own forum you should consider hosting costs, if you want to offer your mod for d/l you should add bandwidth cost.

Of course all the above (especially hosting and software) could be free. Your time on the other hand probably has always a price attached to it.

CA MODS (DLC)=FOR MONEY

Ppl make mods for fun, not for money
