    What OS (operating system) do you have?

    XP:
    It should be in a folder called "logs" or something like that in your Medieval 2 folder. You can find it there.

    Windows 7:
    You can find it in a folder called "logs", not in your Medieval 2 folder (unless you have user control off, then it does), but in your Virual Storage folder (C:\Users\your name\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\SEGA\Medieval II Total War)

    Vista:
    Unfortunately, I'm not sure where the log file goes in Vista. It may be similar to one of the two above

    You may find this file empty as the cfg of kgcm has no error logging in it if that is the case when you find the log folder try adding this to the cfg (remove it again when you have gotten a log though as it burns pc power logging so much info )

    [log]
    to=logs/auh.system.log.txt
    level =ai.ltgd trace
    level =game.script* trace
    file = game.script* logs/auh.script.log.txt
    file = ai.ltgd logs/auh.ai.log.txt
    [ai]

    Edit i mean to the KGCM cfg file not med2 sorry i didnt specify .

    k ill give it a try. Havent had any other ctd's once i auto-fought that one battle. not sure what the problem was but ill get the log asap.

    Edit: Sorry im such a noob, but when you say cfg do you mean the campaign script in KGCM? I found the config folder in mtw2 but you said for KGCM so i went into that folder and didnt see a config folder so im a little confused. thx for the help btw

    Edit2: Ok ive found a logs folder and system.log text. The folder is empty but the systems log has a lot of info. Here is the last so many lines. If this isnt what you need just post and ill keep checking back in every half hour of so.

    NO not the med2 1 as i wrote in my post (the edit of my post ) you need to put it in the KGCM cfg or p[refrences file PS that log is actually normal there is not a problem there at all . They are basicly files that are refrenced from med2 not KGCM as not all files are stored in KGCM it still uses a great many from vanillia (one of the reasons to never mod vanillia game as it will wreck any mods that use these base files.

    C:\Program Files\Sega\Medieval II Total War\mods\kingdoms_grand_campaign_mod\medieval2.kingdoms_grand_campaign_mod.cfg? It didnt save to the vanilla one, if need be I can reinstall later. Could changing my graphics to lower settings cause a ctd? Because i did that before having the first one and then I went back up and so far havent had any more?

    Changing your graphics up may cause a ctd in battle if your pc is lacking video memory but i cant see down being a problem I am more inclined to think that the BAI may have been corupted in the download (just a slight glitch to affect it in way that makes it crash periodicly not constantly) there should be three logs in your log with that cfg setting ,can i see what the script log says as it will show the BAI scripting in it also i have seen affected AIs fire the same ai script three or more times in a row that can lead to a crash (in a lower end pc ) tomorrow ill put some files here for you to test to see if we cant get things back on track for you
