Michel Daerden...chronic drunk...did it again.
After his speech on the victory of the Parti Socialiste in 2006, Belgium was horrified by this creature of the Belgian socialists. And now, mr Daerden showed his boozed face again in the Senate. Our minister of Pensions gave a speech in the senate, in a rather strange state....
Aparently, this drunkard is enormously popular in his home region Walloonia, making him vice minister-president.
N-VA, the Flamigant and centre-right party wants his immediate dismissal. What are your thoughts.

It's never a good idea to keep people like that in the government, i mean if he is a drunkard how can he be trusted to do a good job?
I don't think anyone can take a guy like him seriously and he have a quite serious job, i think that he should be fired.

I bet it was satire, he was mocking the senate or gouverment or system of politics in Belgium.

We are talking about a small country here, that has 6 different gouverments, where a minister has himself dropped off by helicopter to the viewing of "an inconvenient truth", where another minister learns his diplomatic mission to the us will be rescheduled as everyone is at a diplomatic top conference, decides to go to new york annyway with his entourage and goes binge drinking, then when a waitress of the new york bar squeels on her blog, this minister pressures her boss into firing her, where a canidate prime minister sings the marseillaise when asked to sing the Belgian natioal Anthem, where a politician hires private detectives to dig up dirt on other politicians, a country that was effectively without a gouverment for months because they couldn't agree about a voters district.
