Planning on starting a Campaign as Greece, but i can't figure out what to do at the beginning...
    Don't know if i should take Albania,since they usually don't give anything useful..(and a coup )
And with the low IC ,I'm stuck between building a factory or start making some mountain inf... (also researching them)

you shouldn't probly attack Albania because the italians go for that quite early on and you wouldnt have the men or resources for a long war with italy.
I would mix your production build a few mountain divisons with anti-tank and artillery, then some factories (even though it takes a futher 10 factories to get 1 extra tech team) then research some infantry tech (including Supplies) and some industry tech to help with IC and Production.
After a while i would try to expand into bulgaria (if their not axis) or turkey to gain some extra provences then you need to prepare for the axis invasion (maybe join the allies when they declare war on you) see how that works report back on how it goes with some screenshots then i can give some extra advice then
    Regards

For some odd reason whenever you declare war on a couple of balkan countries the whole world goes berserk. In my Greece game I declared war on Albania and Bulgaria then was promptly declared war on by every major power in the game while they also went to war against each other. Not to mention the fact that every Balkan country and Poland joined the Axis.

    Be careful about that...

Everybody in the Balkans has their independence guaranteed by at least one major power with the exception of Hungary. That means causing trouble will get you in trouble. The best strategy, as the strategy guide I have read suggests, is to fort up until your three northern border provinces all have level ten fortifications. build mountain or infantry divisions and make sure you get the five factories you need to get to the next tech slot. This should all be done by the time the invasion of France ends, either in Frances or Germany's favor. You then use garrisons to protect your beaches. Doing this will make Greece impregnable. Now you can choose who you join. Start planning early to join one alliance or the other. The guide also suggested intervening in the Spanish Civil war to gain experience for your army. You can then join the alliance you chose. The most advantageous would be Axis, as their is a lot of allied territory nearby to take and you will be attacked by the Axis if you do not join them. I personally am something of a warmonger in my games and find that you screw yourself over if you do that in the Balkans. You will be lucky if you can conquer one country before you start getting hit with some serious retaliations.

See I'm a complete warmonger so that doesn't work out for me.

that is exactly the one I was referring to. I did not know if you had read it. I should also say that you should be careful about following its advice for smaller nations like Greece. The timelines can sometimes be unrealistic. It, for example has a guide that is supposed to turn the Dominican Republic into a superpower, but the timelines it gives do not work in reality and the whole guide for that nation is almost useless. I tried to follow it and I only conquered Cuba because I got the US to ally with me. I then would have had to split Venezuela with them if I did not use acceptall to get those territories from them. However, warmongers should chain their tigers or not play as Greece. You simply are not powerful enough to take on the coalition that will form. And that guide, if it works (I have not yet tried it myself, but it seems workable). You can become quite powerful. You can deploy some of your men in Greece to defend and still have more then enough men for foreign campaigns. and to Kamos, I am also a warmonger in this game, but their is something about Greece that draws me to playing as them from time to time. As evidence of being a warmonger, I almost never liberate nations I conquer

Greece has 4 transports, a respectable amount of infantry divisions and no early threats. Guarantee Republican Spain and when the Civil War starts you can DoW Nationalist Spain and join the war as a third party. That's what I did when I played as Greece and it turned out to be fun.
