Default Muslims protest....again... this time in Detroit.

Watch the video submitted by WJBK Fox 2's Taryn Asher as she speaks with protest organizer Majed Moughni at the rally. The message his group wants to deliver, "not in the name of Islam," meaning extremists do not represent the real nation of Islam. Moughni also says Muslim-Americans will not let terrorists hijack their religion. He says more in the video interview.

This is outstanding and exactly the type of stuff Muslims need to do to every time there's one of these incidents instead of excusing radical muslims by blaming "the army" (Hassan), Israel, or "Western caused" poverty. It's the best thing they can do to combat prejudice brought on by the radicalized minority.

BTW: Notice it's being reported on FOX.

I'm not surprised that it happened, but I am pleasantly surprised that it was reported.

I'm happy, I really am. I got their back. But, dozens? There were many more black people defending O.J.

Love his comments, he's a great speaker.

Its Detroit, murder capital of the US. The mere fact people are standing outside without body armor shows something...

They can and certainly do have a right to be proud Americans. But their proud Americanism should not make them blind to what America is doing to where they came from.

If you go back enough we all came from east Africa. Should we all relinquish our identity and be concerned with Kenya and Ethiopia? If they hadn't been in the country of their ancestors, not even once in their lives, why would they even care? If I was a Muslim why the would I care (beyond reason that is) about what happens to Muslims in some godforsaken country? Just because they are closer to where Islam was created? This hive mentality of Muslims is really annoying and often a serious detriment to the advancement of their countries. Look at all the problems Islam is causing to Iran. They allowed themselves to be marginalised from the whole world because of their support of Palestinian terrorists.

A lot of american muslims still remember what "where they came from" did to them. That's why they are americans now.
As a teenager, I was taken to various houses and flats above takeaways in the north of England, to be beaten, tortured and raped over 100 times. I was called a “white slag” and “white ****” as they beat me.

    LOL

So you're saying many american muslims leave their homelands due to persecution or something?

Yes that is exactly what I am saying. In my circle of friends I have several iranians that fled after the islamic revolution. The US is a destination of choice for people fleeing islamist tyranny and the general thuggery of the region.

Erm....the majority of the US aren't Islamaphobes. You don't know what you're talking about.

Well I'm sorry but you're completely wrong. Other than Iranians, most muslims that come to the USA come because they can't find good paying jobs back home, such as with my parents. My parents were definitely not persecuted in Pakistan, lol.

Around 1/3rd are the "cream of the crop". I'm assuming your parents were professionals in either medicine, engineering or business when they migrated to the US. They belong to a minority within Pakistan and the US "imports" many such professionals. NASA, Microsoft, etc have a huge number of Asians and Indians working there, for example.
Yeah, I think that sounds about right. Although the concentration of poor Pakistanis and Indians is the biggest within cities like New York and Los Angeles, in most other places the Desi Community is pretty well off.

Oppression is a better word. Most Muslim countries are economically, socially, and politically oppressive. I don't think you can deny that.

Why are people here saying "They should care about what america is doing to their homeland?" What has america done to their homeland? Iraq is a democratic constitutional republic, and Afghanistan is far better and more developped than under Taliban. I'm not american, but I wish I were so I could be proud of those facts. America has been one of the best friends of Muslims, something completely lost on most Muslims unfortunately, due to propaganda or prejudice or what have you. The absolute worst friends of Muslims are the fanatics, who kill Muslims regularly declaring them infidels who side with infidels even over matters of women's rights, America along with its Muslim, and other allies are killing those fanatics. If I were a Muslim, I'd want to look at who is more interested in securing my rights.

And honestly, I support America's war in Afghanistan. But it could have been done better.
Leave it to a Pakistani to suggest the U.S. is responsible for the Taliban's rise to power, what a laugh.

I know this argument you're making though. We can't depose one dictator, which you wouldn't have supported anyway, but if we do, we must then depose all dictators or else we're not credible or principled. If we can't be perfect we can't be good. I get it. I just think it's nonsense.

Yeah. Opressive because of regimes often supported by America. Tell me, Saudi Arabia is opressive and kills it's own citizens just like Iraq, why don't you invade Saudi? Oh yeah, Oil. Hmm, that seems like a really cool words these days.

But anyways, let me ask you a question. Do you condone the American support and backing of the right wing dictator Zia-ul-haq in Pakistan?

Are you ing kidding me? If the USA had tried to rebuild Afghanistan after supporting their little proxy buddies, then I'm pretty sure the situation would be a lot better right now

Michigan's association to the United States has boosted their unemployment rate to 14%, the highest in the country. And their proud Americanism is preventing them from seeing the truth!

This is, what I don't quite understand. Why are the American Muslims mostly good patriots and why do the European ones only stir up trouble?

There is a lot less xenophobia and racism in the USA. The USA is a nation of immigrants.
Also, it is good to notice that the USA receives the cream of the crop when it comes to "muslim immigration".
