    Icon9 noble pikemen mesh

    Hi people,
first of all I would like to thank all the people involved in creating this superb mod. I'm having a great fun playing it and it is good to know, that there are people who are willing to share with the results of their hard work. Thank you all.

Now to the topic, lately I started a campaign with Scotland and all went fine untill i had a battle with my noble pikemen. They looked like the Vanilla ones, but with red "skirts" . So I looked into my battle_models.modeldb file and it turned out that they use these files:

    62 unit_models/_Units/EN_Pplate_Plate/noble_pikemen_ug1_lod0.mesh 121
    62 unit_models/_Units/EN_Pplate_Plate/noble_pikemen_ug1_lod1.mesh 1225
    62 unit_models/_Units/EN_Pplate_Plate/noble_pikemen_ug1_lod2.mesh 6400

the problem is that don't have these files in my folder, only nobles I have are the noble_swordsmen mesh. So if someone could be so kind (if that is not against the rules) and post this files I would be very gratefull. Or if you could post it on some server, so I could dowload them. By the way I'm playing SS 6.1

    Thanks for any help.
    Cheers

Upgrade to 6.2 or reinstall, I'll take a look and see if I have those files. But as I'm playing RR/RC I doubt it.

Thanks for the reply, i wuld rather not to reinstall for obvious reasons besides I'm not sure if that's gonna help. As for upgrading I'm thinking of that, but not yet , and still I'd have to download it first. Thanks for help

    Glad to help.
Although I can't help you, I don't have those files. Maybe someone else has.

They aren't included in SS because they are the vanilla models. If the game engine doesn't find a certain file in the mod folder, it searches the vanilla files and finds it there. So if a file isn't changed, it doesn't need to be included in the mod.

It is against forum rules to post unaltered vanilla files so you will have to unpack them yourself. Check the Mod Workshop section of the forums on how to do this.

But he does not need to unpack right? If those files are not in the mod folder, the engine will take a look in the vanilla folder, and if they are not there, in the packs.

Thanks for interest guys. So, i unpacked the files and it seems that there is a problem somewhere else, cause nothing changed. Maybe these units are supposed to look like that, but I don't think so Let me show you what I'm talking about (btw, I installed SS 6.2, at least onne thing positive out of this)

99.9% of all the files (including all unit models and textures) are in the packs.

If you want to revert them back to their vanilla skin, replace the .texture files listed in the modeldb entry with the vanilla ones you just unpacked.

It appears that I was missunderstood
I thiught that the noble pikemen on the screen shouldn't look like that in SS, I thought they should look like the unit card , forgive me all this mix-up and thanks for the responses.
    Cheers

Ah. Apologies for the misunderstanding. I only rarely play Scotland so I wasn't quite sure what you meant
