    Default About raiding trading lanes...

    Hi!

    Im Playing as prussia...I early on suspected that war would come aginst Austria....so I sent 2 brigs and 2 sloops to the medeteranian sea, to raid their trade routes...my qustion...If I have 4 ships raiding the trade rout seperetly....do I get the amount 4x or 1x?

    How do you find the amount of money that you get from raiding?

    It would be 980/ship so times 1 or 4? Every time I raid with one ship it says 980

    Hmm. Maybe I should raid a lot more. I do prefer to just hit all the ports and damage them.

    Please test it out and let us know what you find. The general assumption is that it works like a trade node. Each ship raiding a single lane whether stacked or seperated each takes a certain amount from the route with multiple ships each having a diminished amount.

    Well it seems that one get the cash per ship...If I look at the income tab theres a column saying "others" which matches the sum from the 4 raiding ships....Pirating seems to be good buisnes...im curently sending more small fast vessels.....my tactics is never to stand and fight but flee and raiding again the next turn.

    Seems the most logical too.

    Oh and pirating can be very profitable. Raiding Marathas trade routes can really pay off.

    well in late period raid britain and maratha trade routes...

    heres an example: I as Prussia has a full stack navy with 2nd rates raid a route between britain and maratha which in total brings more than 40k... I raid that route and I see 27k income as others cool ha

    anyway back on topic from this I think an overall 25k is the income from raid 14 ship there are in a full stack (right?) so 25k/14 = 1790 definitely different from what you guys summed up. Heres my argument then: It depends on the income of that route, it depends on the size of that raiding navy, it might depend on the ship that raids. So theres no real math for that...
