It can be on many games at once, but one game alone would be quite an achievement (I'm not even sure if there are 100 regions in the game), lol.

In my current GB campaign I have 107 regions in 1789. I usually have 40 to 50 regions in 1750 in my campaigns. I almost never declare war. Because of some jealous kingsdeclaring war to me the amount of regions increases to around 90 to a 100 during late game operations.
There are 77 regions in Europe, 18 in India and 41 in the Americas giving a total of 136
