    Great staff!
I am trying to convince the moding community, that peasants had atleast simple weapons provided by them or their lords, for almost two years now.
    An exelent work here!
TGC in order to continue its development seak one or more desicated scripters to put our campaign scripts mess to an order plus to create new events and create the finall missing factions recruitment system. In return TGC will give permision to those that will help to use its material stepe by step. The result will be a fully released TGC plus many mods that will benefit TGC's material.
Despite the mod is dead does not mean that anyone can use its material
    read this to avoid misunderstandings.

IWTE tool master and world txt one like this, needed inorder to release TGC 1.0 official to help TWC to survive.
Adding MARKA HORSES in your mod and create new varietions of them. Tutorial RESTORED.

    very nice

i might be confusing these Landsmen with the "old-time" Lendsmen/Lendirmen(landed men), which certainly were no ordinary peasants. by the Norwegian reforms of 1270`s the Lendsmen became known as Barons...
while the Norse nobility was also farmers, in the sense of major landowners, the common peasant would find his place in the Leidang. during the 12-13the centuries the Leidang were gradually converted to a tax obligation, rather than military service.
though some danish kings, 15-16th century, attempted to revive the military aspect by way of Landevćrn or Oppbudshćr.
the Leidang were probably an offensive as well as a levied standing army, while Landevćrn were home guard in case of invasion. in Danish laws there are indications that failure to appear in the Leidang were punishable by goods of livestock, this might be origin of Leidang-tax. while failure to appear in the Landevćrn were punishable by death.
at several occasions the men of Scania refused to cross the border into Smĺland. this would indicate that the defensive aspect of the Leidang survived as a commonly accepted measure.

These scandinavian faces really look good and like real people from Scandinacvia, Mr Sumskilz. Excellent jobb. I can not wait to send those guys southward over the seas as King of Norway or to cross the alpes with them and show the pope the power of the Kaiser!

I wonder weather the English will have their own face collection or will they be represented by these as well? Maybe you could use a few celtic faces for them.

Yeah, I'll probably create a few specifically English faces but also mix in some Scandinavian faces in their units as well.

You are confusing Landsmenn with Lensmenn and Lendrmenn. Lands-men are 'countrymen' rather than 'landed-men' or 'county-men' (Län). The landed men were Hirdmen or King's men, but the land-men were exactly that heathens, men from the countryside.
Check "Medieval Scandinavia 800-1500" by Birgit & Peter Sawyer, Minneapolis 2003 for more

We are going to represent Leidang by a building, and Hirdmen by numerous units such as Gestir, Skutilsvenir and Hersar

Any unit/face to entertain the bloody vampires?

Yeah it has been a while since I posted something. Silly stuff like RL has been getting in my way. I have a lot of stuff that is close to being presentable though, so maybe soon.
