A french actor(algerian or marocan ascendency) looks exactly to this "dangerous man", save his skin color less brown , and this actor ever have roles of dealer, corrupt policeman...

Always love your work, sumskilz. As others have said I think it's your faces that stand out; they have a real personality that I haven't seen anywhere else. I also like the fact that you are making some proper Islamic units - no-one has paid much attention to these in the past.

Good luck with all your work.

That is some amazing work, but regarding the Persians, would they have been so dark? I have a couple of Iranian friends who are pure Persian, since they're all Zoroastrians, and they're really fair skinned.

I deliberately made some of some of the faces more fair-skinned (notice the one on the far right) because I have also met Iranians that are as light as most Europeans. But you are comparing modern Iranians to medieval Iranian soldiers who likely would have spent a lot more time outdoors (at about 33 degrees of latitude). For a better comparison, look at this Iranian football site.

We should be having full on preview soon with in-game shots of several Fatimid units, but in the mean time....

Yes, I see your point, and by the period covered by the mod there would have been a lot of mingling between the dark skinned arabs and the basically white Persians.

Sure, I'll PM you when I'm close getting started on Slavic faces. I may even do a specifically Polish face set.

I really like this shield. (the model was created by Absinthia) I plan to make another version that will look like it is made out of Elephant hide.
