Re: RETROFIT MOD - UNINSTALL
Retrofit Mod requires Kingdoms 1.5 for starters. It should be mod-foldered in the Mods folder.
Can you play a Medieval2 vanilla campaign battle yet?

Re: RETROFIT MOD - UNINSTALL
Hi Irishron - yes I have kingdoms 1.5 installed - specifically Crusades and Brittainia Campaign - and when I click play on the launcher it gives the option of those two kingdoms mods or Vanilla Medieval2 Total war or Retrofit Medieval2 Total War.
So: 1. either I have not unpacked the Long Road Data into a folder called The_Long_Road within the vanilla mod folder (unlikely)
or 2. The Retrofit is clashing with The Long Road showing up on the launcher and therefore I should uninstall Retrofit, but how?

Re: RETROFIT MOD - UNINSTALL
Not all mods are set up for the launcher including mine. That is what desktop icons are for. Is the Long Road icon on your desktop?
For personal reasons going back to when the launcher was released in version 1.2, I will not use it nor will I put my mod in it.

Re: RETROFIT MOD - UNINSTALL
Well I do not have the Long Road icon on my desktop so could not click on it. I had originally copied the data file from the long road and pasted it into the vanilla mod folder without using winrar to extract it to there. I noticed that the retrofit mod had a folder in there alongside the Brittainia and Crusades mods. I made a folder for the long road within the mod folder and put the data in there.
When I click on the other icons the games load but if I click on the Medieval 2 icon the launcher comes up.
So I guess I have not installed The Long Road properly b/c there is no desk top icon. Sigh!

Re: RETROFIT MOD - UNINSTALL
To get everything you want you will have to uninstall and reinstall the game. The reason vanilla plays because tit thinks it is TLR.
When you click the Medieval2 icon you will get the launcher since 1.2.
My way is right click the Medieval2 icon, click properties, and in the target change launcher.exe to medieval2.exe.

Re: RETROFIT MOD - UNINSTALL
I understand - thanks. And does that also mean that once I have uninstalled Medieval war 2 and Kingdoms, that it will automatically uninstall/delete retrofit modn also?
Then I just reinstall Medieval 2 (forgetting the patch 1.2 and 1.3) because I then install Kingdoms and then I go and copy and paste my Long Road Patch per previous explanation? (appreciate your help greatly!)

Re: RETROFIT MOD - UNINSTALL
You have to delete the Sega folders in Porgram Files and, if you use Vista, appdata. The uninstaller is shoddy at best.
You have to run a registry cleaner like Eusing Free Registry Cleaner next. Same problems with uninstaller.
Reboot to clean your memory.
Now to install everything.
I bet after you run winrar on the TLR file there is an installer in there.
