A simple Question... hopefully deserves a simple Answer:

Considering ETW did not completely support SLI, I was wondering if the "new" NTW will update and be able to utilize it?

ps. PLZ no RANTs on SLI (I run 1920x1200 and actually could use the benifits)

i also wonder if my 5 button mouse will work with NTW. I was in dismay to learn I couldn't map my thumb buttons with commands in etw...

also, will NTW support multi-core processors? I don't think ETW did...

ETW fully supports multi-core since patch 1.2 or 1.3

Probably not. CA is a bit behind the curve in supporting newer technologies.
The extra development time will allow us to finalize and polish Empire, making it the most accomplished and epic of the Total War series." said Kieran Brigden, Studio Communications Manager at The Creative Assembly. "There is a great deal of anticipation around Empire: Total War and we want to ensure that it is the benchmark for strategy games upon its release.

I would assume not,for it seems that many developers other than FPS teams are not really supporting sli..

It's really up to NVIDIA and their driver support for the game. Hopefully either Napoleon: Total War uses some workaround to make better use of SLI or NVIDIA fixes their drivers. The game does support SLI, it's just buggy and the scaling is terrible.

See http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...19#post6545519 It depends on the driver you use and whether you're playing a land or naval battle.

    1920x1080

Yeah I'll run some benchmarks if performance appears to be an issue. If it's not I'll probably be a little busy playing it I'm convinced at this point though that SLI scaling is 100% an NVIDIA problem and not Empire's.
