    Default Late era Golden horde

    greetings,

    is it everytime that the golden horde is simply UNSTOPPABLE and gets multiple full stacks pretty much each turn?!

    I wonder what I am doing wrong, these bastards seem to get stacks out of nowhere and I have absolutely no desire to play against an AI that has unlimited imba stacks.

    Does anyone know wether they get stacks every turn or if there is a limit to their stack-spawning mechanics? Do they even have to rely on cities/castles, because I have seem them lose their stuff to rebellions but STILL they get more stacks out of nowhere ... what the heck is wrong with this?

    It is alright that they have a huge invading force but come on, these guys are freaking zerging the out of persia and up to andalusia no problem.

    Just wait. The Timurids will come, and then you'll have much more to worry about when they start devouring the Mongol Empire whole.

    It is still totally unrealistic that these dudes have an endless reservoir of stacks ...

    EDIT: Its no fun at all fighting an AI that cheats THAT much, they cheat already but that is way too much, makes playing seljuk/khwarezmian/cuman really NO fun at all.

    Actually its not unrealistic because back then the mongols DID have "endless" amount of extremely good soldiers. Thats why "horde" is in their faction name.
    And to be fair its not that hard to beat them even on the hardest settings possible if you use good tactics

    Just a bit of trivia. It is nevertheless interesting to me that the Timurids are the descendants of the original Mongolian armies of Genghis Khan. This is not too dissimilar to the story of the Roman Empire and Byzantine empire.

    No there wasn't,the name was just an historical mistake,the Eastern Roman Empire become the Roman Empire when the Weastern Roman Empire fell and it was known like that unil the fall of Constantinople.

    This was debated 1000s of times, it was the Roman Empire and they saw themseleves as such so there is no need to bastardise history with invented names.

    What version of SS are you playing? Are you using any submods?

    The fix for this ic coming soon. For now, you can go to maps/campaign/custom/Late_Era_Campaign/custom_script and using Notepad++, comment out ( lines 6648 to 6768. Then start a new campaign.

    In my opinion mongols are a bit few and weak. Imagine mongols reach in real histrory Hungary, Moravia and Poland. Russians payed them tribute. The Baiazid Idirim, sultan of turks lost his empire in face of Gengis khan. Only after many years the after fall of east, egiptian mameluks stoped their expansion. I will like to see mongol stacks starting with only horse archers and faster expansion.
