Mod Suggestions?

Hi.

I am very new to TA:TW. I had a stab, but didn't complete 2 campaigns (1 Rohan, 1 High Elves). The Rohan campaign was my first so it didn't go smoothly. My second try with the High Elves went much better but I stopped playing mainly because Elrond died of old age but also a little bit because enemy activity deviated a lot from the story (Mordor raping Gondor and Rohan).

So my question is this, could you suggest any submods for me please? Unfortunately I can't make much sense of some stuff out there since the information is a bit overwhelming. For example, it's hard understanding what RC+RR mod actually does. Basically, i'm looking for something to primarily make my Elven generals not die of old age while i'm playing, and anything else would be a bonus. Perhaps some added stability to borders so that there is less steam roller blitzkrieg pillage warfare going on.

RR/RC does that Elrond and Elven generals cannot die on old age,for example.(And Gandalf,Aragorn,Dwarves,Orcs)
Or RR/RC work on the balancing.

Do you know if RR/RC will work with 1.4, even though (i believe) the latest release of the submod is for 1.3?

I'd like to see a Dwarven Pony Rider mod; maybe only available for Dwarves in the Western side of the continent. Make them terrible terrible terrible cavalry, but able to run down snaga. Charge bonus of 1!

No it doesnt, you will have to wait for the 1.4 version or play on v1.3.

Read the OP before posting. He wasnt looking for a mod making suggestion, he was asking which ones to use.

Um ... deviating from the story?

The only way this 'story' would end is complete extermination and enslavement of all races in the Middle Earth by forces of Evil if not bunch of lucky Hobbits ruining the fun and destroying the ring.

Plus, it is Total War game ... give it some slack, it will never recreate what exactly happened in the books or movie ... at least by having Gondor and Rohan raped evil would come closer your border and you wouldn't die from boredom or go on rampage on poor Hobbits and Dwarves ...
