    Default Help on removing unit limits

    Hi.

    Im sure there is tons of threads about this, but i have searched for a answer and they don't work.

    I am using the latest version of DBEditor, to try and remove the limit on every single unit including the dlcs. I have tried what people have said to just edit the unit_tables/units table and change all the unit_limit values to 0, but when I save the program stops responding and doesn't save.

    So I followed the tutorial on the main thread about DBEditor, creating a new table and all that. It saved, but I don't understand what "load up "x".pack" means. I loaded up the game after this but nothing changed.

    Please help. Im stuck here. If someone has uploaded a mod or something to do it, could you link me?

    Thanks.

    If you have created a new table with the DB Editor and saved that table as a new pack file (named, for example, "X"), then you have created a mod in the mod format, and mods in that format (unlike mods in the patch or movie formats) need to be launched either through the Mod Manager or the user.empire_script file (you can change the mod format with the Pack File Manager). Place that mod in the ETW data folder, then load it in one of the following ways:

    1) place the Mod Manager in the data folder of ETW, start MM up, untick the box for "Show all pack types" to the right, then tick the box for enabling "X" in the list that appears to the left, and launch ETW from there; or...

    2) open or create the "user.empire_script" text file in the C:\Documents and Settings\[Your Account On the Computer]\Application Data\The Creative Assembly\Empire\scripts folder (visible only if the setting for showing hidden folders and files on your computer is enabled), and write...

    mod "X.pack";

    ...on an empty line there, save, and exit the text file, and then start up ETW normally through Steam.

    Note, however, that not all mods are compatible with each other and if they are in conflict with one another (using the same files) only the last to load (the last written in the user.empire_script, for example) may be seen in effect in the game.

    It's hidden in the patch3.pack. Seems like CA don't want modders to mess with the latest DLC package, I'm afraid.

    Edit: Just remembered that there was a guy who may have found a solution to the problem. Check his post in the following thread: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=318322.
